The Old No. 77 Hotel and Chandlery

When in NOLA… Stay at The Old No. 77 Hotel and Chandlery!

In January I had the pleasure of staying at The Old No. 77 Hotel and Chandlery and it was amazing. Located just 3 blocks from the French Quarter off of Tchoupitoulas St. you will find The Old No. 77 Hotel and it’s beautiful light up sign.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the lively sounds and delicious scents coming from the hotel’s award winning restaurant Compère Lapin, which is created by one of New Orlean’s most innovative chefs Nina Compton. Right next to it was Tout La which serves craft coffees, pastries and more!

Once I checked in to my room, I instantly fell in love with the exposed brick, wood floors, and art pieces that can also be seen all over the hotel. My room was very spacious and stocked with New Orleans goodies. It truly felt like a home away from home. And if you are anything like me, you would be happy to know that this room was perfect for photo ops. See some of my favorite shots below 😉

As if this hotel couldn’t get any better they also offer great fitness amenities. The Old No. 77 Hotel has a nice gym that has all of the standard workout equipment and a Peloton Bike!  the Provenance Hotels’ Well+Fit Program, which allows you to bring amazing workouts to you! All you have to do is go down to the front desk, request the Well+Fit Kit, and take it up to your room. The kit includes a wrapped Manduka Yoga mat, a set of barre3 bands, weights and signature core ball and an iPad preloaded with fitness videos from our Well + Fit co-conspirators. It was the perfect way for me to get a quick workout in before hitting the NOLA streets and stuffing my face!

In about a half of mile walk, I found myself in the French Quarter surrounded by amazing culture and good food. On the first night I made a stop at Oceana Grill, which is one of my favorite spots off Bourbon St. I had some amazing Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, bread pudding, and a bomb Hurricane. I highly recommend checking them out for great drinks and food! Of course I  also had to get in line at the world famous Cafe Du Monde. You cannot leave NOLa without getting some beignets. I promise you it is worth the wait and getting covered in powdered sugar. The last stop on my quick food tour was brunch at The Ruby Slipper Cafe. The French toast was literally everything. See below for some of my food pics!

While my trip was very brief, the Old No. 77 Hotel made sure I felt right at home. I cannot wait to go back and stay with them again, but until then they have given me a gift to share with you all! Thank you so much Ashley Heinonen and the entire staff at Old No. 77 for the most amazing NOLA experience!

Laissez les bon temps rouler!

XOXO,

Chrissy.
