On Top of the World at Five Sixty

Last night, my date and I had the pleasure of having the Five Sixty by Wolf Gang Puck experience at Reunion Tower.

The experience started as soon as we stepped on the elevator. Beautiful views of DFW stunned us while on our journey to the top of the tower. At the top, we had a cute little table for two right by the bar that overlooked views of Dallas! The floor of Five Sixty rotates, so you get a 360 view of the whole DFW area! We even spotted Cowboys Stadium!

To start off, we were provided two cocktails. I had the Hello Kitty (which I highly recommend) and I cannot remember the name of my date’s drink right now, but I will update this post when I have the right name.

For our appetizer, we had the Shrimp and Lobster Spring Rolls. They were amazing!! The honey-ten spice dipping sauce added great flavor to the spring rolls.

For our entrée, we split the Dragon Roll, which was amazing! Inside was:  Tempura Shrimp, Asparagus, and Barbecued Eel topped with Avocado.  It was probably the best sushi that I have ever had. This roll could make anyone a sushi lover (even the most picky of eaters!) We also had the XO Shrimp Fried Rice along with the roll. The chilli and shallot onions gave the fried rice such an amazing flavor.

Of course I had to get dessert! So, I tried the Dark Chocolate Cremeux Cake! All I can say is, “LAAWWWDDD!!!” It was so so so good. The Devil’s food cake topped with praline cereal crunch and vanilla ice cream was so rich and amazing. I thought I was in chocolate heaven.

Five Sixty is the perfect place for any occasion. You could go for happy hour from 5-7 Monday through Thursday for $4 off every item on the Izakaya menu in the lounge. You could also have a more intimate/romantic experience with their dinner menu and enjoy a 5,7, or 11 course tasting with an optional pairing. Overall, Five Sixty is a great location for anyone! So grab your friends, family, coworkers, or significant other and have the experience of a lifetime!

I also want to give a special thank you to the General Manager Melissa Nasits for treating us to such a wonderful date night!

Xoxo,

Christen M.
