Last Sunday, my date and I tried Eureka in Uptown! It was the perfect place to end the weekend.
Eureka is situated on the corner of McKinney Ave, right in the heart of Uptown Dallas, so we opted to enjoy the city views on their intimate patio. To get our meal started, we ordered the Swizzle and the Industry. My date’s choice was the Swizzle, which is spiced rum, mint, lime, orgeat, and bitters. My choice was The Industry, which had tequila, pineapple, ginger, orange, and cilantro. If you like it sweet like me, The industry is the way to go! If you hate sweet like my date, then the Swizzle or Moscow Mule (vodka, ginger, and lime) are awesome choices!
For our starter we tried the Truffle Cheese Fries! These are so great. Truffle salt, parmesan, green onion, and white truffle sauce add some serious flavor. It was so hard for me to stop eating these fries. I honestly could have had them as a meal. Since the Truffle Cheese Fries were so flavorful, I am dying to go back and try the Man N’ Cheese!
It was so hard for us to choose an entree because everything looked so good. My guest of honor ended up choosing the 8 oz. New York Steak served with grilled asparagus, saffron crema, and signature handcut fries. I had the Turkey Tortilla Burger and it was the best decision that I had ever made. Tomato, red onion, pickled jalapeno, guacamole, Monterey Jack, chipotle sauce, all tucked in a grilled flour tortilla. This was seriously the best turkey burger that I have ever had. No lie! I would go back everyday for that burger!
Even though we didn’t really have room, we ended the night with the American Apple Crisp. Yummy caramelized apples, pecan oat crisp, and vanilla bean ice cream made the perfect light dessert. Our dining experience was so good at Eureka! We are so anxious to go back soon.
