Let’s be honest, whether its work, school, or just life it’s hard to take time off to travel, but who said you have to travel to vacay?? This summer I will be showing you guys the best places to visit for an EPIC staycation here in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. My first stop: Fairmont Dallas!
This past weekend I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel Downtown Dallas with my friend Courtney J. The customer service was impeccable as soon as we checked-in. Since our room wasn’t quite ready when we got there, we grabbed a bite to eat for brunch at Pyramid Restaurant and Bar in the lobby. I had the Arts District, which is an egg white omelet with spinach, mushroom, Avocado, and Deep Ellum Chevre with a side of fruit! This was one of the best omelets that I have ever had because all of the ingredients are so fresh. Fun fact: the Terrace Level of the Fairmont is also home to the hotels garden. They grow everything from basil to blueberries right there at the hotel!
After stuffing our faces, our room was finally ready and to our surprise we actually had two rooms! We had a beautiful King Suite with an adjoining double queen room. Courtney and I should have brought more friends lol! Of course they didn’t stop there with the surprises. We were welcomed by a bottle of Chandon Blanc de Noirs, chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate chip cookies… Now that’s how you do it!
The room was so awesome that we didn’t want to leave, but it was time to take the party to the pool! Every Saturday, Fairmont Dallas has a live DJ from 1 -4 and a dive-in movie after sunset, so Court and I just had to check it out. Once we got down there, the terrace level was bursting with energy. There was good music, amazing food and beverages, people having fun, and of course a unicorn pool float! But guess what?? You don’t have to be a hotel guest to enjoy this awesome pool party. You can purchase a Resort Pass and join the fun!
Courtney and I had so much fun that we had no problem knocking out later that night in the Fairmont’s huge fluffy beds. It was probably the best sleep that we had gotten all week! The Fairmont Dallas makes you feel comfortable and at home by providing comfy robes and personalized toiletries. They really make it so hard for you to leave.
I truly enjoyed my mini vacation with the Fairmont Dallas and cannot wait to visit again soon. Be sure to book your staycation with them now! I promise you won’t regret it.
